about

I made this song during college and ultimately forgot about it. Until I found a really rough demo of it in a forgotten hard drive. Decided to revive it using modern gear, less cringe lyrics, and etc. Liked it for about a week then realized it felt too youthful compared to the others I had made for the Vileten album.

lyrics

Oh cynical girl, with your pretty pretty hymns
you satisfy as an inspiration for such aural sensitivity
Of all things, you choose to sing of midnight smoke
it gives me chills to breathe light from your melodies
I'm told I should fight you
I'm told I should wake up
I'm told I've made a mistake here
To leave you alone and stop the connection
I'm told to do better, yet I'm told I would let you down
"Just leave her alone you liar!"
We are the only ones who know we belong!
We are the only ones who know!
Or am I the only one who knows? /* yikes! */
Your static notes go through
oh uncrowned queen of my scene
Cascading with my strings
you're now my noise against everything
I'm told I shouldn't find you
I'm told I'm going to break here
I'm told to surrender
I'm told I should hate you
Am I the only one who knows?
We are the only ones who know we belong
We are the only ones who know
Or am I the only one who knows? /* gah! */

TheRingmaster (Francissistic) Philippines

"Francis keeps things mellowed down and a little feminine, basking in heart-stabbing, downtempo pop that goes to as far as conquering all hell and mud in pursuit of love. This time, he’s restless not with himself, but with his art, his woman, and the need to express himself. " - Vandals On The Wall ... more
